[Note that this was configured as a pistol.  If you buy this, know the law, which I understand is that it is legal if you buy this with the purpose of configuring it as a pistol, but not if you plan to configure it as a rifle without ATF registration.]

This is such fun to shoot and is what I considered an ideal home defense weapon. Sadly, I have a disability - no right hand - and I found that I cannot easily rack the slide - with the charging handle on the right hand side I don't have the strength or agility with my prosthesis or stump, and when on the left, I have to move the pistol into an awkward position.  Day to day, not an issue as I can simply position the pistol to make charging possible, but if needed for defense, in such a commotion I simply don't feel confident that I will be able to handle any issues rapidly, so am switching to an alternative upper.

The handguard has minor damage and scuffing on one side - in my efforts to make it work for me, I tried various attachments. One of them proved almost impossible to remove, so you'll see that one horizontal rail slot is bent and slightly sheared off on the one side.  It does not affect operation in any way.  A replacement can be ordered from FM, I think it's this,
